CATEGORIES: Caribbean | Seafood

This fresh fish market and Caribbean seafood restaurant was featured in Washingtonian Magazine 2007 Cheap EatsThe business is owned by Jamaican siblings who genuinely love Caribbean seafood.  Escabeche is a poplar specialty followed by conch stews.

Their mainly seafood menu features seafood stews, curries, and fried fish, evoking the tastes of Jamaica and the West Indies.   Other delicious specialties include:  fish stew, Blue Mountain-style shrimp, fish n' chips, festival fritters and deviled lobster.  Entrees are served with delicately flavored rice and peas as well as a side salad.

Caribbean Sea Seafood Restaurant prepares favorite fresh homestyle Jamaican juices such as pineapple-ginger.  You can also find a wide variety of other traditional Jamaican beverages such as carrot juice, irish moss, soursop, fruit punch, and ginger beer.

While you can eat inexpensively here, to really appreciate the home cooking and fresh seafood, expect to spend at least $15-20 per person or share the generous plates.
